1. In Praise of Yoga

Yoga is a great prenatal exercise that is very popular with many pregnant women. It is so important to get exercise while pregnant. It can help prevent too much weight gain, and can help avoid problems like preeclampsia and gestational diabetes. pregnant-woman-doing-yoga-outside Yoga especially is a great form of exercise for pregnant women, since it is not damaging to the joints, and it improves both balance and circulation. Yoga helps you to relax and improve your breathing, which comes in hand for labor. Yoga also helps you to stretch and improves almost every function of your body.benefits-of-yogaAll in all, yoga is a great exercise choice, pregnant or not. Many women credit yoga with helping them not only with feeling great during their pregnancy, but also in their subsequent labor and delivery as well!

2. First Trimester Yoga

There are not too many restrictions for women who want to practice yoga during their first trimester. As with all exercise and diet changes, you should always ask your doctor to be sure that you are going to be doing something that is safe and not off limits for your particular situation. Once your doctor has cleared you to practice prenatal yoga, your next step is to find an instructor. five-pregnancy-yoga-workouts-you-can-do There are many classes out there specifically for pregnant women if you want to join other expecting moms. Otherwise, it is completely safe to join a regular “non-pregnant” yoga class, just make sure that your instructor knows that you are pregnant. He or she can keep an eye on you and help you to modify any moves that might be too difficult to perform during your first trimester. It is always nice to have an extra set of eyes to make sure things are going smoothly.

3. What to Remember

Yoga is a gentle form of exercise, but it is still a form of exercise. If you feel at any time that your yoga poses are too intense, make sure that you let your instructor know. You can either modify the moves as they become too difficult, or you can switch to another form of exercise. yoga-is-a-form-of-gentle-exercise-considered-safe-during-pregnancy As long as you are moving, it really isn’t important what exactly you are doing. If yoga works for you, that is wonderful. If it doesn’t, that is okay too! If you are choosing yoga during the first trimester, just make sure to listen closely to your body and stop immediately if anything you are doing feels uncomfortable or painful in any way. It is always better to err on the side of caution during pregnancy.

Hi im 32 years and had a tubal can taking fertility meds increase my chances of concieving??

    • Monica Scott, RN

While a tubal ligation is reversible, it is considered permanent birth control. Because the fallopian tubes, which carry the eggs from the ovary to the uterus are burned, clipped or tied, the only way to get pregnant is to undergo tubal reversal procedure, which uses microsurgery to rejoin the severed sections of the fallopian tubes. If you have already undergone tubal ligation reversal, then certainly fertility pills can assist you in getting pregnant.

Does this stuff really work? Me and my husband have been trying for 6 months and it isnt working. I did have one miscarriage. What should i do?

    • Dr. Prabha Sahgal, MD

On average, only 50% of couples will get pregnant within 6 months of trying. Be sure that you are timing intercourse to the time of ovulation in order to ensure your best chances of conception. Fertility supplements can be very helpful for women who simply need a boost to regulate their cycles, help stimulate ovulation or even lengthen their luteal phase.

Hi I am having trouble getting pregnant I have had a couple of periods since i got my IUD taken out is there any over the counter items that will be able to help me get fertile???

    • Monica Scott, RN

As your cycle resume, most women can conceive in only a few weeks after removal of IUD.  You may prepare yourself for pregnancy by eating healthy foods, vitamins and folic acid in your diet. We do recommend that you schedule a pre-conception checkup with your doctor or healthcare specialist to determine what fertility pill will best help you to get pregnant based on your condition.

    • Dr. Christine Lee, MD

I am sorry for your loss. It is important for you to be as ready as you can, emotionally and physically, to achieve another pregnancy and make it run smoothly. Take some time off, at least two months, for your body to recover. Adopt a healthy lifestyle, if you haven’t already. You can also try ConceiveEasy which is specifically designed to overcome common obstacles of conception and can increase your pregnancy chances up to 33%. It is also recommended to have a preconception visit to your doctor so that you can better plan your next pregnancy.

  • Lola T-Hawkins

my fiancee n i have been trying for a year and half and nothing seems to be happening! I recently went to my gyn to see what was going on. She put me on provera and prenatals and I got a Vag probe and a ultra sound to make sure everything was okay and to see if I had any cyst or fibroids. everything came back good accept my pap showed a bacteria cyst she gave me 2 anti biotics that should help that and told me not to worry. Im worried though that if its not me then its my fiancee diabetes or high blood pressure because I know his medication could be having some affect. I am going to order the kit on this website and hope that these pills could help some but I already take vitex and my gyn told me primrose didnt do n e thing so I stopped taking that.

  • Ganiatmohamed

can i get the product at cvs

  • Ganiatmohamed

am 40 yrs in age trying to concieve can i take the product nd were can i get it frm.

    • Dr. Prabha Sahgal, MD

Age is definitely one of the biggest factors when you consider your chances for a successful pregnancy. While your odds of getting pregnant may be lower than a few years ago, many women over 40 do get pregnant naturally using FertiBella ConceiveEasy. It will also help regulate your cycles to provide you with the best chance for success. And because of the age of your eggs, I would strongly recommend that you begin trying to conceive immediately. You may place your order by logging on to our website at or by contacting our customer service at 1-888-363-9222.

    • Dr. Renee Hanton, MD

Pinpointing your day of ovulation, either by charting your cycle or by taking ovulation predictor kits, gives you the best chance at timing intercourse to best achieve conception. I suggest that you schedule a pre-conception checkup with your healthcare specialist to discuss any questions that you may have before trying to get pregnant.

  • Smith_brittany

I got off birth control two months ago and still haven’t a regular cycle can I still conceive??

    • Dr. Christine Lee, MD

You can conceive after birth control, although, it may take some time for some women. Birth control pills prevent ovulation. Once the hormones go out of your body within a couple of days, your body starts to adjust functioning on its own again then start ovulating. The time period for each woman to have their cycles to return to ‘normal’ varies. For some, it may take a couple of weeks to ovulate while others take months. In general, it should return to ‘normal’ within 2 to 3 months. The regularity of your periods prior to birth control must also be taken into consideration, because if you have had problems, then those issues may still be present. Once your cycle is back to normal, then you are ready to conceive. The best of luck to you!
