Many women complain of tingling hands when they are pregnant. One of the most possible reasons for this symptom is pregnancy carpal tunnel, which is common for women to develop while they are pregnant. This is most common for women who spend a great deal of time on computers each day.

When a woman is pregnant, there is a great amount of pressure that is placed on the nerves in her body. Some of these nerves are those that are found in the wrists and hands. When pressure is placed on these nerves, tingling and pain can be caused. The repetitive motion of typing on a computer can also increase the amount of discomfort that a woman notices at this time.

One of the best treatments is to stretch out the muscles in your hands. Take a break periodically and stretch your hands. This will relieve tension and help to make the pressure on the nerves disappear.

Luckily, this is a symptom that will most often disappear after the woman gives birth. There is usually no reason for concern when it comes to this symptom. However, some women find that they are more comfortable when they wear a wrist brace for a few weeks even after they have given birth.
